We recommend researching gestational surrogacy for several months before making the decision to move forward as a surrogate. It’s important to have initial discussions with your family and support system and make sure that surrogacy is a good fit for your life right now.

When first applying, there is a prescreening process in place to ensure that surrogacy is a safe and suitable journey for you.

Once you are pre-cleared and your matching profile is complete, we will search for your perfect match. You will have the opportunity to review and decide on intended parent profiles that fit your match preferences, and schedule a match call to meet them. If everyone is on board to move forward, it will be a match!

Your intended parents’ fertility clinic will need to review and approve your records. This can take a couple of weeks, and once approved, it will be time to schedule your medical clearance appointment in-person at the clinic. We will assist with booking travel, and any related expenses will be covered.

This appointment typically consists of bloodwork, a physical, and a pelvic ultrasound to ensure you are healthy and ready for a surrogate pregnancy.

You will get to choose a third-party attorney licensed in your state to represent you in the drafting of the gestational surrogacy contract.

During this time, the escrow account will be funded, and your maternity coverage and life insurance policy will be obtained.

You will receive a custom IVF calendar from the clinic, typically including injectable and oral medications to prep your body to carry a surrogate pregnancy. It’s important to follow this calendar to a “T” to ensure the embryo sticks.

There will typically be a few ultrasound appointments at a local clinic, as well as one trip to the intended parents’ IVF clinic for the embryo transfer.

Once the pregnancy is confirmed, you will be able to transfer care to your preferred, local OBGYN + hospital system.

During pregnancy, you will get to continue your day-to-day life and visit your own doctors for prenatal care. You’ll receive a high level of support from your dedicated case manager to make the pregnancy as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

A maternity clothing allowance, self-care and comfort gifts, and childcare coverage are all things that help make your pregnancy comfortable and supported.

A parentage order will be put into place to ensure surro-babe’s care is transferred immediately to the parents upon delivery.

These documents will all be provided to the social work department at your delivery hospital to ensure the workers are prepared to welcome a surrogate birth.

We will also help facilitate a birth plan that aligns with your needs. You will get to be in control of your own labor and delivery- pain management, support people, and providers are all up to your comfort.

We will continue to support you long-past delivery to ensure you’re able to focus on recovery and getting back to normal life after delivery. Maternity leave benefits include lost wages, childcare, and housekeeping so you can focus on rest and recovery.

We will manage medical billing and ensure all contracted reimbursements are paid out.
